Room Colors For a Teen’s room?
My parents decide to let me paint my room. I want my walls to be two colors or maybe three. I like bright colors and beach themes. What two colors go well together in a room? I’ve been Thinking about Lime green but don’t know what it will go well with. I am a girly Girl and I love pink Also. I am 13. Any Ideas?
also, my room is shaped like an attick, like some walls are slanted and some are straight - irenee

Light blue, darker blue, and beige.
Those colors always make people feel good and happy and calm. And that’s what you want when you want to relax in your room.

Lime green and light pink can go really great together. Also, you can go with a neutral color, and then use a bright color to accent it!

Can you pick out a fabric that you like the colors on? Then you could use that for chair covers, cushions and drapes. Then I’d suggest you pick up the colors from it to paint the walls.
I painted my room lime green when I was in high school, with a darker avocado for the woodwork. The floor was dark hardwood and the upstairs, slanted ceiling was white. I had off-white bedspread and cafe–curtains. I had a display of dolls from around the world who had very colorful clothing. And china pieces with pink and green rosebud design on display shelves.
If you find fabric you really like, coordinate with it. That way you’ll know how the colors look together.

My sister painted her room a lilac purple on all four walls. On two ‘touching’ walls, she sponged a darker purple over it. It was pretty awesome. She used shades of the same color and it was easier to find stuff that matched because she didnt have to worry about it matching one color and clashing with the other.
So maybe go with a pink and sponge a lighter or darker pink over it. Lime green isn’t the best color for a room. (Imho)

You can use a teal color with Lime green. That would correlate with the beach theme…
Here’s a pic, I would go with a lighter teal color (not much lighter) and a brighter lime color. I would do stripes, not squares.

currently my room is hawaiian themed with lime green and one blue wall. i really love it. but if you like pink, i really think orange would look nice with that. you could do three walls pink and an orange accent wall. then find a hawaiian/beach bedspread that matches. that would look really nice. also, if you went with green and blue, on the blue wall you, if you’re good with paint, or someone proffesional could paint a palm tree. that would look cool. i hope i helped.

lime green, light blue, and beige
pink,lime green
lime green, lightish orange,w/ or w/ l.blue(either way works
yellow,orange,lime green
pink,orange,lime green
you might want to add flowers(in a vase not on wall) to really get that beach feeling. Also, you can get matching fabric to complete the whole set and get people to say…WOW

I think that lime green is a great color choice as it is my favorite color. It wold go really well with 1 wall as hot pink. Also, if you like beach themes too, (u should see my room) t hen i am suggesting pale blue w/ bright orange accents and life preserver pictures or window box picture frames of the beach or something. Also, you could add starfish to your room, like lay a few around your room. Add a little sparkle by blue or orange sequined curtains. you should use either wicker or all white.
I Sure Hope This Helps!

try lime green and aqua since you want a beachy theme then get a sandy tan color rug and get beach themed decor and white furniture it will look really like a beach. if possible get beach wall decals or shiny blue beaded curtains to hang on the walls. another great idea is to hang white netting from your ceiling and have it drape down a few inches and cover the whole ceiling or only the corners then you can slide fake starfish and seashells into it it looks really cool.

The 80’s are kind of coming back so the lime green would be good. Or an aqua kind of color. You could probably us hot/bright pink with either of them. If you already have a comforter, go with colors in it. If you also get to get a new bed set, paint the walls the colors you want and find a comforter that incorporates them.
