I’m 15 and I painted my room myself 2 summers ago. I decided on a bright blue and I still LOVE it. It’s not a neon color or anything, but it’s still fairly bright. When I wake up in the morning, my bright walls greet me…but at the same time, the color can seem very serene when I’m feeling calm and relaxed. I also love candles/insence and burn them a lot in my room. My room is my safe space.
That’s just my personal experience, but I would pick a color that matches your personality, but not something so bright and obnoxious that you’ll get tired of it in a year or two. Look at lots of different options. I’m all for picking a not-so-normal, pale color (boooooring).
Hope I helped! Good luck!

Hon, I suggest going with no more than three of your colors—any more would be a bit overwhelming, and create a chaotic feel.
Your colors will mainly come into play with your bed clothing; see if you can find a comforter you like in some of those colors, and go from there.
You can coordinate your comforter with throws, pillows, chair pads, and curtains. Search the internet for some bold prints that you can frame in silver frames and hang on your walls. Perhaps you could hang a long, narrow shelf and line it with candles that match your fabrics.
I think a yellow/turquoise/purple combination would be both bright and serene…good luck!

Yes…
first you should pick your bed linens. The rest of the room can be decorated around this.
Use accessories to spice up the room…
Things like feather boas wrapped around the window or on a coat rack to add some glamour…
Use matching lamps that you either buy… or from lamps that you make yourself by buying unique lamps and repurposing them with paper shades that you design and make yourself.
Use empty CD cases that you pop the ‘CD holder’ out of the middle to make your own unique picture frames. Just put decorative paper inside of them and mount your pictures. You can reopen them and change them with very little effort whenever you want to. You do not have to put photos in them, you can put in your school logo, or put in pictures of sports figures, dancers, celebs, musicians, magazine clippings whatever you like. Do this like a scrapbooking project. Check out some scrapbooking techniques to help you along.
No matter what the color of your walls are… you can work with it.
Are the walls white?
Doesn’t matter what color they are.
Here is a tip…. wall clings.
These called ‘Static Wall Clings’
Here is a website where you can actually send them a photo and they can make a ‘Wall Cling’ from YOUR photo… How cool is that?
