Does anyone have any tips on decorating my room?
I am a teen girl and all of my walls are white, my bed spread is turquoise and lime green and my curtains are hot pink. I have very few things on my walls and it looks really blank and boring. Does anyone have any tips to make my room more colorful and things to put on my wall to make it look funky. Please be specific. Thanks. - pigeon

u could put that M.C. Esher painting of the stairs and maybe put each wall as a different color. like one wall could be yellow, another purple, one blue, and one neon orange. then u could take spray paint and write all over the walls. then add then add some furniture (un-colored) make it all neon colors then write on that furniture too.

Put you a calender on it.
Get a good pitcher of your self or who every and put it in the center of one wall .
Buy you a boarder to go at the top of wall your color and I know you can work it from there .
If not put 1 hook for a plant with a chain hanging . OK !!!

I think your colors are great, they are very close to what is in my daughters room. What type of art do you like? Check out allposters.com for ideas in wall art, including prints and wall decals of all sorts.

How about chalk board walls? you cool mixed them with your favorite color. you could have a checkered wall or whatever. and if you didn’t know you can buy chalk board paint and your local hardware store or even a magnetic paint.

get a large piece of wood (about 5 feet tall and as wide as your bed), cover it in foam then upholster in hot pink fabric to match curtains, use it as a headboard.
Get a variety of empty picture frames of various sizes/shapes and styles. used ones from garage sales are good and cheap. spray them all with paint . do some turquoise, some green, and some pink. hang them in a large grouping on the wall. makes a great and thrifty focal point for the room.

I have the perfect idea and it does not have to cost a lot of money either. Fabric Wall Art is all the rage at the moment. Instead of painting on canvas you cover it with fabric. You will be able to find many fabrics that would match with your colour schemes. I have some in mind but i do not know how to attach pictures here, they are a bit on the retro side if you like that. It does however depend on if your bedspread is plain or patterned with the turquoise and lime green. If you are interested in seeing this fabric, just contact me at my website and i can post a picture on it or email you a pic. Hope this helps, have fun decorating.
