How well will a black dress go with my boyfriends’ light green shirt and dark green pants?

For Homecoming my boyfriend is wearing not a light green shirt and not a dark green shirt kinda in the middle of the two. His pants are really dark green. my mom didnt wait and take me shopping she just went and bought one and it was black. How well do you think this would match or do you think it would look like crap. Be honest please
